Dr. Schmidt received her Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Greifswald, Germany. During this period, she focused on protein engineering and recombinant protein expression. After her post-doctoral training at the University of Manchester, she returned to the University of Greifswald where she deepened her knowledge in white Biotechnology. Prior to this role, she was co-founder of Enzymicals AG. Dr. Schmidt joined Gene Bridges GmbH in 2013. Until now and at Gen-H Genetic Engineering GmbH she focuses on strain optimization and strain development.
