We are very excited by the excellent results our antibiotic-free plasmid-based fermentation platform has yielded for enzyme production at Enzymicals!

In order to fight the growing threat of antibiotic resistant bacteria, industrial fermentation needs to move away from using antibiotic resistance genes for plasmid maintenance. Enzymicals publicly announced that they have in-licensed our antibiotic-free plasmid maintenance system and have obtained incredibly promising first results for enzyme production. We are excited to see our technology making its way into industry and look forward to seeing it being scaled-up further.
