Dr. Sven Reislöhner obtained his master’s degree with a specialization in cellular and microbial biology at the University of Marburg, Germany. He continued his research interest with emphasis on RNA-polymerase regulation in bacteria during an ERASMUS-funded practical placement at the University of Sussex (Brighton, UK). In 2022, he obtained his PhD at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. During his PhD research, he worked on new genetic tools with a focus on the development of a regulatable promoter-system for the emerging eukaryotic model organism Chaetomium thermophilum. In September 2022, he joined the Gen-H team and focuses on prokaryotic strain engineering projects.
